Slow moving build up

I'm a wheel whore, currently have 4 sets of wheels (three sets have tires) for this car.

Subaru WRX drivers seat is in. Supposedly it was already mounted and running in a 240, so it should have been drop in. I had to swap the seat rails before I could get it to mount in the car. Even then it is off center by about a 1/4 of an inch and mounted an inch forward of where I would like it. Fixing it though means welding, a skill I have yet to learn.

I have a passenger seat as well and should be able to get it in this week. I also swapped in new injectors. The new ones are 0280155746 and flow 19 lbs/hr. Not as high a flow rate as I would like, but having four nozzles seemed to help smooth out the idle.

I also put another 25k miles on the books.

Nice! How do they feel? And, didn't you have one/both of your old seats rebuilt?

They're much stiffer. I'm sure on long trips my ass would get sore, but no worse than my back would get with the factory seats. The lumbar is higher up on the Subie seats, so my back doesn't get tired on a commute to the east side. I had the factory driver's seat rebuilt. Its still holding up great and the passenger seat is still in pretty good shape.

Wow, talking about a garage full of Volvos!

The WRX seats look cool. I find it hard to believe that the Volvo seats are hard on the back. My Volvo is the most comfortable car I have ever taken a long trip in. Our 2014 WRX has pretty cheaply built seats. But I will just pretend it is for weight reduction!

They would be plenty comfy, if I was 5'8"-5'10". I need the lumbar to be pretty high, I have yet to find a car that has it right where I want it. I also like sitting lower in the car. I constantly had to tip sideways to see when red lights turned green. With the WRX seats I'm at least an inch lower than the factory seats.

And as far as the garage...The two in the garage are my Dad's, the S70 is my Mom's, and out of sight there is an 850 that belongs to my sister. There is also an '83 242 and '71 142E tucked away safe in my garage. My blue '89 was what started the family obsession. It has spread enough that my brother in law just got a 242 and my sister met her bf through OVT.

It's true, the bolbo bug bit me and I've got a pos sitting in my garage too...

Even with the rear adjusted all the way down? There are three positions in the front and rear, if I remember correctly. Granted, that doesn't help change the lumbar support position in relation to your back, but...

Pink injectors from a 1st generation S80 are getting me an extra 3mpg. I started with factory injectors and all season tires getting 19.5 mpg. I then went to the yellow V70 injectors ending in 746. These injectors smoothed out the idle, but no change in mpg. Now the pink injectors are in and I've gotten 23-23.5mpg in the last three tanks (still on studs). It chokes out at cold start, but a minute of sitting at 1500rpm gets it smooth enough to start driving.

Volans! At the first IPD show I went to, 14 years ago, I spotted a set of Volans and decided my car wouldn't be complete without them. I've had the wheels for a little over a year, just snagged spacers, and the budget squeaked out new tires. No more swapping wheels on this car! Eventually (my hope is when these tires wear out) I'll get the wheels refinished and I'll get hubcentric spacers.

Just a little progress on this car. I spent a few years working two jobs, on nights, so free time to work on the car is few and far between. We bought a 1990 245 to fix up for the wife, which we sold because she wanted something newer, so we bout a 1996 855. Both those cars took focus away from mine. Now I got my hands on a parts car though, 1990 240 that was in two crashes.

I pickup the car from ARD tomorrow. I didn't have the time to tackle a manual swap, nor the space. Just pulling the m47 left me sore and tired for a couple days.

I also dropped in a set of IPD rear springs to replace the cut wagon springs in the rear.

I'm very slowly starting to collect parts to +t this car, so I'll use this space as a rolling checklist of what I have and what I need to find. I'm in no hurry to get this done, just collecting stuff as it becomes available. Feel free to chime in if I've missed something.

I have:
-13G turbo
-90+ manifold
-760 oil cooler and lines
-940 turbo ecu
-injectors (still need to figure out which flow rate will be best)
-760 upper intercooler/radiator brackets.
-Coolant pipe off water pump (turbo style)
-oil cooler sandwich plate

I need:

-intercooler and piping
-oil lines
-turbo ezk
-downpipe
-lower intercooler/radiator brackets
-3.0 bar FPR

Your car already has the proper FPR on it. Injectors that flow the same or nearly the same as the green tops would be best. You can use a 940 style oil cooler as well, if you want.
