Slow moving build up

Finally got to do a few little things to the car.

2 trunk lights:

New fuel rail. This one doesn't have the cold start injector hooked to it, that I wasn't using anyway, and I painted it before install.

After a little bump in the rear both my tail lights had the rear fog lens broken. I got a new set of lights and painted the turn signal lenses red.

is that one of the cravingboost strut braces? I like the simplicity and it probably works great.?

:hahano:

It's an OMP bar. The PO got it straight from Italy, but never had it mounted to his car before I convinced him to put it on my car. It works amazingly. Next time you see me I'll let you grab and pull it as hard as possible.

Not much progress on the car lately. Our money and time have been tied up for me to even think about upgrades. After a broken endlink though I snagged a good deal on a set of adjustable endlinks.

I also put new pads and rotors on the front brakes. The pads are only PBR Organics, since they don't make ceramics anymore(plus it saved me a few pennies), but I did get a set of slotted rotors. There was some pitting, since the po stored them in the shed for a few years. I painted the hats and the vent area to keep them looking good for a few years.

Compared to my old ceramic pads I am not impressed with the new set. I've had to relearn what my stopping distances are. Next go around I'll be sure to spend the extra cash on some better pads.

I pulled out my pink label 561 ECU and installed a white label 561. Overall it seems to be doing better, but the new ECU hasn't learned that I'm not using the cold start injector.

I also finally got around to installing my new sway bars. An IPD set of 28/25 bars. The front was powder coated black, but the rear was the old gold style(which wasn't gold anymore). I painted the rear bar black and added silver IPD decals to both bars.

The old 25mm front bar next to the new 28mm bar.

The new 28mm bushing vs. the old 25mm bushing.

The front bar got a silver decal on either side.

25mm bar in the back vs. 22mm bar in the front.

The new rear bar installed, after being painted and getting a new IPD decal.

The parts are stacking up, since I can't work in my garage. I have a dang 144 parts car that is taking forever to pull apart. For the 240 I have an air vent to put in the drivers kick panel, new heater control valve, reinstall the front armrest, need to rewire the stereo (been w/o for a year:pow:), and need to work on getting the led lights to work perfect in the dash.

I did take the time to put in lighted window switches tonight though. I bought 8, so 7 went in the car. Now I need to find the matching switch for the window lock.

New stainless exhaust installed by RSI. 2.5", bullet cat, single Magnaflow muffler, and a tail pipe so short you hardly know its there.

Nice. Glad to see this car is still around.

The car isn't going anywhere, ever. It was my first car and my daily driver for the last 10 years.

Lookin good brotha, I bet it sounds as good as it looks.

It has a mean rumble to it, but cruising down the highway it can actually get quieter than my last setup (at least it seems that way inside the car).

I also had an issue recently where the pin sheared off the front of the cam, leaving me stranded on the side of I5. It now has an A cam which runs smoother than the B. I fried the idle motor while trying to start when the cam wouldn't spin. I'm hoping to find a new one at the jy tomorrow, so I don't have to two foot it for the first 15min of my drive.

Found this on a jy 50% off day. I pulled the wheel, then ran to Harbor Freight to buy a 27mm socket, then came back for the hub. The leather is torn up, so I put a cheap cover on it while I figure out how I want to refinish it.

I thought I would never have a R Sport wheel, so this gets me much closer to the finished image I have in my head.
