![]() Thanks! I'll see if I can get a set then and try it out. Those are the later styles though - the early ones are more triangle shaped.

![]() Hey thanks guys! It’s getting there.
Before snow starts to fly, I rolled the 242 outside and put it on stands to pressure wash the underside, wheel wells, and engine bay so I have semi-clean areas to work on this winter. Also finished cleaning the passengers door and hung it’s door panel. Wheels are 100% ready for rubber now too! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() The commando bumpers really take up some space in the garage, but still keeping them because I think they look cool. I still can't believe how large a 242 is, 3" longer than my 740T wagon was, way longer than my V50.
Way to clean it up, I need to do the interior removal clean also.

![]() Incredible. I have a quote right now for $375 from an outfit in Texas that looks and sounds reputable. Thanks for this. I’ll give them a call.

![]() Spent some time this weekend swapping out the stock fuel pump and accumulator for a low psi (2.5 to 5) fuel pump to feed the weber carburetor. I also removed the fuel distributor, intake manifold, air conditioning components, and other KJet items to get a good cleaning to the engine and bay. This is just the first step to get things clean under the hood again, this won't be a 'shaved' bay but it will get a nice tidying up. I've always had great results with purple power and my pressure washer, spent a solid 3 hours spraying and lightly scrubbing.

![]() What carb is that? 38/38? I haven't seen that setup on a 240 before.

![]() What made you go with a carburetor vs fuel injection?

https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pr...p?Product=1580 I’ve always loved the sound of 8v and carbs, great throttle response and just fun. Who knows, I may go ITBs someday... |
