turbo started leaking oil from around the top where 1 of the oil lines goes ito the turbo thru the banjo type fitting with the copper fittings. Have not touched it recently and it started leaking. I replaced copper washers and tightened it back on...same results ...still leaking...DOES the banjo metal tubing wear out over time...? Nut cracked...hairline crack?....ANY THOUGHTS OR EXPERIENCE

make the copper washers red-hot by a flame before mounting them, should be done on any copper used for sealing. if you didnt touch the line from the block its nearly impossible that it will break.

It shouldn't wear out, but it's possible the metal has cracked or a piece of debris got in there. Pull it off, clean it and inspect it closely. Be careful with the oil feed line, coke tends to build up on the inside and can break free with handling and plug up oil passages in the turbo. That's why turbo vendors all require installing a new oil feed line to retain the warranty.
