No you have a problem! I've never owned more than 5 Volvos at a time! I see a V50 in the driveway...

The V50 came over for a wash. It is getting checked out by a family friend/Volvo tech tomorrow evening. It will need a lot of detailing, but It didn't feel like it ran poorly when I brought it over. Before and after wash

Let's see if the leaks are gone THIS time

Lower radiator hose wasn't quite right but It seems to be good now

Spal is working well in the cooler weather. If I keep the car it will get a medium profile fan before next summer

You do know that "VOLVO" stands for Various Oil Leaks Very Often, right?

In this case it's coolant, but still true

The current train of though is that it needs a software/firmware update (I don't know the difference), as well as a trans fluid/filter service. Waiting to see what the local pro says. I've passed your guys data along as well

They did the update on mine at the same time as the flush. I was talking about https://www.eurosporttuning.com/auto...u-upgrade.html they used to sell this with an intake and exhaust as a package, really wakes the car up. I added DO88 intercooler, 3" downpipe with racing cat, and some smaller stuff. Just don't ever try the stage 3 software, I had about 10 revisions and it never worked right.

A local friend hooked me up with a coin tray for my 740, so I fixed (and then cut up ) the dash trim to fit the tray a little further back.

Took the 740 out to 2 separate car meets this morning

Played with an ATS while taking a shortcut through Mexico to the next meet

Made it out for the end of the meet at Farmer Boy's. Posting lots of other pic in the Modesto Euro Sunday thread

The scene really has come back in a positive way the last few years I'm not a huge fan of social media, but I do use it to find car meets

I finally talked Dad into selling me the wagon, so now I have a pair of 740's

On the day-to-day grind..the master cylinder I put in the 744 failed, so I decided to try my hand at rebuilding the old one I had pulled out. Mid-project as of this post, so we'll see how it works

So the MC rebuild almost worked, but the pedal isn't quite right. If I can find a comprehensive rebuild 'kit' I will try again, otherwise it's time for a new re-pop

I'm not going to start a new thread for the wagon, but I wanted to officially welcome Project Blue Balls to the family

This was Dad's 'work truck' for several years, and now it is mine. Will be the work truck around here for now. Plans are unknown :D

Your dad took the timing belt cover off? Engine bay looks nice and clean!

Nope, that was my fault The rear timing belt cover was turning to dust when I did the head gasket on it a few months ago. I've been procrastinating putting the new one on, but I know it needs to be done

Meh, it doesn't need it. I slotted my rear cover for replacing timing belts so you still have the mark.

My motivation has been lacking a bit lately, but views like this help keep me fired up. Davis is practically around the corner!

Decided to go halves on the purchase of the V50 with my Dad. $600. Not too shabby 108K miles. Plan is to fix it up for my Mom, pending any major mechanical issues
