When making my 3" downpipe for my HY35, I copied the original 13C downpipe and welded in the Lambda port a few inches downstream after the turbo, I figured if it worked for stock cars it must be fine (lol), right?
How far down the downpipe have you guys got yours?

If the OP means the wideband sensor, I believe AEM says at least 30" from turbine exit (maybe 36", no coffee yet).

If you have a 86+, it will use a 3-wire O2 sensor. One of the wires is the signal, the other 2 are power/ground for a built-in heater. The heater gets the sensor up to temperature faster so that emissions are reduced sooner. As long as the O2 sensor is before the CAT, you're fine.

The older LH-1 and K-Jet cars use a single wire O2 sensor. For these, mounting them closer to the exhaust manifold makes them warm up faster.
