Default Power door lock unlocks but doesn't lock

On my 940, the left rear door central locking system unlocks properly, but it doesn't lock. I have tried lubricating the moving parts, and I can feel the motor trying to lock but not quite enough to move enough to completely lock. All other doors lock and unlock fine.

I have connected the lock motor up to a battery and it locks and unlocks perfectly.

Could there possibly be a wiring problem?

I would try checking the wiring inside the door panel going into the car through the rubber accordion wiring tubing. If the motor is working. Double check the linkage and make sure it's easy to move and has a proper movement to provide the unlock.

I think the right front door uses the same motor so you could also swap and see if the problem follows the motor.
