Exclamation Lh2.4 +t 244 start misfire die

Good evening everyone, I am having yet more problems with my 240. Lh2.4 244+t t5 manual swap with ostrich tunerPro stock ezk. New distributor cap rotor and spark plugs. Plugs I pulled were black. As title suggests, I can get it to start, but it misfires badly and dies shortly after. Smells VERY rich. I was going to spring for another ecu to try out, but I want to get an idea of what you guys might think is going on. Thanks in advance.

Replaced it today, with intake mani gasket. Pulled the fuse for the ecuto reset it. It does exactly the same thing.

Do you have a resistor pack or high-z injectors? If you haven't added one or the other, the injector drivers in the ECU are going to be pissed.

High z injectors. Ran pretty great for until I put dielectric grease on the coil to distributor cap cord. I have since replaced the distributor cap and rotor. Seems to be getting good spark from the coil.

What do the plugs look like? This is exactly the symptom I had recently with a Bertone 780. It had clogged injectors from sitting too long with this ethanol gas we use.

It hasn't been sitting. I just replaced the spark plugs because of this. The plugs I pulled looked black and smelled like gas. Smells super rich when trying to start.

Unplug the injectors and see if you can keep it running pulsing brake cleaner into the throttle.

An open circuit coolant sensor can make it super rich for starting. Did you make sure the wiring was good by checking it with a meter? You can measure the resistance of the sensor on the computer connector. Back probe the contacts and meaure the sensor.

I have not, I replaced the sensor today, but due to neighbor problems, I only get about 15 minutes to mess with my car or I get threatened with eviction.

Good one! Takes less than 15 minutes to replace, too.
