Default Gemini Centre Cap Removal Tool

Just wondering......

I've got Gemini alloys on my 740T and the centre cap is a screw on type. Is there a special tool to remove this cap which should have come with the car?

Here's a pic I posted in the showroom section a while back if you need to know what Gemini's are. Its a repost photo and nothing new:

you should have got a big plastic hand spanner thing (maybe with a hole thru it for a screwdriver to nip it up) in the boot with your tool kit/locknut kit

i use a band type oil filter wrench with a rag around it. Good luck finding one of those plastic wrenches

Send me a good set of dimensions or
better yet a center cap and I can whip on up...
probably $20-$50
I'll want one for mine when I get them anyway

Hey thanks to everyone for their kind assistance and offers!

I rang the Sydney Volvo parts warehouse and they can order them in brand new from Sweden for A$20.

I ended up picking one up from a local Volvo specialist (GB Car Care, Hornsby) for less and got a few spare centre caps too.

Default Gemini Centre Cap Removal Tool

Hi VolvoBusDriver

I had Geminis on my 740Ti. One thing I can tell you is replace the O-ring on the centre caps with new ones. Those O-ring Help keep the cap tight so you don't loose them.

Bumping this super old thread.

Has anyone successfully replicated the o-ring for Gemini center caps? Looking for specs/advice as I’m restoring a few right now.

Thanks yall

Why replicate something that's still available for a reasonable price?

I took my old one to a local seal/rubber supply house and they poked around until they found the correct size. I think they were neoprene? I can't recall.
Had I known I could just order it at the dealer I probably would have done that.

Yes I had no idea they would still be available thru Volvo, but apparently they are as my local dealer has some on order now.
