<strike>Well i had just installed the boost gauge and took it for a drive. I started noticing some weird issues with flickering headlights and my radio cut off. I tried to baby it home and when i was ~200 feet away it just died. Opened the hood and noticed all belts were loose and my crank pulley was missing it fell off 50ft behind the car.
Question is, is it possible that i did any real damage to the car? It's too late to try and diagnose anything right now, but it seems like all I'll need to replace is the crank bolt itself. I can't remember if the slotted 'disk' was directly behind the bolt or not though, so that may be missing too.
It's a 93 240</strike>
Edit: I just looked underneath and the key that's on the actually crank gear itself (that drives t belt) sheared off. Apparently I'm not the only one this has happened too. I probably forgot to torque it how I was supposed to. I really don't want to shell out the cash or wait for a new one. Would it be okay to pull one from the JY? If so, will any round tooth (1993 and up) gear work? The chances of me finding a 93 240 in the yard are slim to none. I could probably find a 940 though.
