Vintage 140 Series Group on TB

Just curious why KG recommends an Allen headed bolt yet the factory used a typical 6-sided hex-bolt.

Volvo updated the flywheel bolts to a longer one with a larger head that holds more torque.

KG probably offers the Allen bolts as a cheaper alternative to the expensive updated bolts from Volvo.

Most Allen bolts are harder than standard automotive fasteners so they're probably a safe alternative although I'd run a washer to spread the load over a larger area.

I don't know why Tasca is so high, $1.50 each on VP's site????

They probably found a different source for them.

The bolt Skandix is selling claims to be original Volvo and doesn't appear to have the lines in the head like the one VP is selling.
