Did a few things recently. Its a 240 with an na b230f

Changed the fuel pressure reg and the car was running great, seemed to pull incredibly hard to the limiter.

Changed the injectors with 850 ones, running incredibly well there too.

Changed the alternator regulator as it wore out, car starts running ****. 13.5v running with load at idle.

Sometimes it will stop making power and just hold 4k, other times it will start weak and slowly build power. At its peak it still doesn't feel as good as it was before

Feels like a blocked cat but it isn't (don't ask why)

Fuel filter says it was changed in late 2011 so I doubt that's an issue.

I generally use **** fuel, e10, but 95-98 octane makes no difference.

Distributor cap was changed, coil lead changed, 1-4 leads old and could be suspect.

Plugs are new, 1000km old if that, but it runs rich and burns oil so they could be Fowled already.

I changed the o2 sensor, well actually my mechanic did, and I still get a 2-1-2 code. Unplugging o2 makes no difference.

Today checking for codes the box was flashing very fast and wouldn't show any codes, not even 1-1-1.

Maybe your black box didn't like those injectors and ebola'ed? I'd reset the battery and see if the diagnostic led calms down, but if not it sounds like you might need another ECU, combined with the persistent 212 code, seems like it's pointing there. Check your engine ground, test between the intake and the negative battery post, engine running, any voltage seen indicates a weak ground. Make sure the fuel rail bolt grounds are happy. Check fuel pressure.

Surely unplugging O2 should cause the lambda light to come on and the ECU go into failsafe "rich" mode.
Surely ... this means O2 sensor is jiggered or not connecting properly.
I would hunt down that side of things first ...

When O2 plug/unplugged makes a difference ... i.e. is working, track down your other problems.

You resetting ECU (unplugged battery 10 minutes, or whatever) every time you change something?

This cars rooted man, half the lights on the dash don't work. Its got stupid miles on it and hasn't been maintained. I'm surprised it runs as well as it does.

Im thinking the injectors are suspect ATM, I'll put the yellow ones back in and see what happens.

They're these ones. Blue top black body. Off an 850.

Looks like two different types from photo....without Bosch numbers, one can not look up their specs.

Can you find the injectors I posted?

I doubt if those are Bosch Gen IIIs...Being in a warm environment, Volvo would not have had an engineering reason to use Gen IIIs, as they did in US states.

SIEMENS 1389563 (blue injector) was for Regina Fuel Injection (and below), not Bosch LH 2.4

No. I'll pull one and check now.

16.9 on blue ones
14.9 on yellows

200 setting on multimeter

Alright lads cheers for the help. She's running well.

Conclusion, if you're going to **** with injectors, make sure your o2 is working well enough for the ecu to change fuel trim to suit. I guess I was leaning out something horrid.

I looked up three different injectors

1389563 18 lbs/hour Regina

0280150762 18 lbs/hour LH 2.4

0-280-155-746 19 lbs/hour

So, the first two are essentially the same, while the Bosch Gen-III, last one, has a pinch more fuel.

That said, I would not mix brands.

make sure your o2 is working

That's a no brainer, if better fuel mileage is desired

1389563 is what they say on the side.

Looks to be a more modern tip design.even if the flow rates the same, in theory better atomization will improve something.

It certainly runs great now. Beat a Toyota Echo off the lights with ease ;) best you can hope for in an NA wagon.

With Bosch Gen-III, 0-280-155-746, one can obtain several more miles per gallon, and I think a pinch better torque response.

I pulled those 1389563 OEMs out of a 1993-944, and replaced with
0-280-155-746; no regrets. I removed OEM 0280150762 injectors from 1993-245, and replaced them with 0-280-155-746; no regrets.

If your current injectors are flowing good, and you just drive short miles, then there is no reason to consider Gen-IIIs. But, if your daily commutes are long, then I'd suggest looking for a set of fresh Gen-III injectors in your salvage yard.
