Get a carbide tipped drill and drill into the steel drill bit a little then use an easy-out to extract the broken bit.

Or if you can manage it, use that carbide bit and just finish drilling the hole, or at least past the broken steel bit.

Oh wait the $5 they charge now is more that they're not worth.

When you are drilling cast iron the drill bit has to be sharpened different than when drilling steel. You have to grind the leading edge [sharp rake ] parallel to the center line of the drill this prevents the drill from biting in. What you end up doing is scraping away the cast iron rather the the drill trying to screw itself in to the cast iron thus snapping the bit.

Just being simple ingengjörare, I would just weld a AN nipple to pan. If you can't weld, ask welder to do that. It is 15 min job of you bring clean parts.

Nope, I sell all my crap on FB marketplace. Last 2 grandpa series I sold went quick, like 3-5 days I think. And then the $100 945T I sold, got messages saying " does it run?"

I'm a dick to people all the time and they still sell. 99% of peoples questions are answered in the ad (or are obvious). If they have a genuine question, then I'm very professional about it.

"Performance and Modification"

I modded my block with a quarter, 2 broken bits, and some JB weld. Car is on jackstands so it's appropriate.

No this drilling the simple hole has been covered 5,387 times. Its simple.Drill a hole..

This is hardly a "modification"..Its drilling a hole..how many times does the same thing need to be proclaimed.

It is like all else in your life a cry for attention..

Be honest...Try it. It's not hard and eventually you get used to it..

Then life will improve.

Which is it, 5,387 times or 8,394 times? Not so good with numbers? And people let you build their engines smh

At least when I put this engine together and it doesn’t run, I’ll only have myself to blame.

Both close estimates, but complaining about an obvious made up number, made up for illustration of the commoness of this simple job you cannot manage does not distract us from your astounding inability to do even the simplest of tasks without endless crying and subsequent pouting and posing...

obvious ineptitude is obvious..At some point you may financially embrace it and stop puffing your little chest up..and then you may get some respect instead of the near-universal derision you now earn.

Because you're not an egotistical self-proclaimed "expert" and "perfectionist", right?

Remember that time you f*^ked up a batch of flywheels?

I'm gonna be honest with you, I cannot get through an entire one of your posts without opening a beer. You have special powers

and no one is crying about the oil return, it's been done since the following day that I made this thread. Head is put back together and on the block..time goes on.

Now do us all a favor and stop wasting bandwidth with all your **** talking

Actually what I specifically fawked up was not counting the teeth on the flywheels which I had subcontracted the cutting of the teeth which I had given the machinist a sample and written in numbers about 2" high "60-2" and explained and also showed him the indexing of the -2 part and even explained how he could use the sample to first zero the sample in the mill and run the X and Y axis out to establish the beginning point...I thought it was clear, he thought it was clear---the NEXT guy who got the same instructions somehow managed to with same sample and same instructions get it right...
The difference was the first guy was a CNC mill guy 100%, the second guy was a engine builder for 40 years who was ALSO a CNC lathe and mill guy...being an engine builder he was familar with 60-3 and 36-1 TDC sensors and indexing...and he looked at and referenced the sample..

All things an under-derprived snotty boy like you have absolutely no conception of and probably never will because you're more interested in trying to score inter-net points than learn anything from a very costly but very simple mis-communication...something that happened more than 10 years ago...
And which while there were delays everybody got there parts they ordered..

Here let's but this into perspective: what did you learn last time you designed and manufactured a short run series of products for the Volvo aftermarket?

Oh...yeah..
you can't.

Actually little whiny boy that wasting of bandwidth is the very nature of what ALL your posts detailing in gruesome detail whatever it is your latest f**k up is..

Virtually every single thread you've started is a waste of bandwidth about your struggles.
