Default '94 940T Ambient air temp sensor (guage)

Hello folks - Just yesterday I noticed my in-dash outside temp guage was reading a ridiculous -141! accompanied by a little red light - so I took a look under the front bumper and found the harness with the temp sensor torn off and bare wires making contact.

I miss my temp guage and I can somehow substitute the missing connector with something I can make myself. (I find various sensors on Volvo web-sites but some claim interaction with the ECU and mixture trim - This just sends info to the indash digital guage).

Anyone know the part number on the sensor?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I can't recall the sensor p/n but last time I wanted one they were $18 at TASCA which includes the wiring connector and pigtail. Same on 700/900/850 cars

Mick, I have one of those on my 240 digital ambient temp gage and it's not the same (AFIK) not compatible with the 900 ambient temp gage, although I haven't tried it.
The connector is different, even if the sensor works, the best approach is get the 900 series sensor from a JY or new with the correct connector.

Thanks so much for the info -

Pardon my ignorance -- TASCA?

Nevermind - I googled it -- 'Tascaparts.com'

Thank you!
