Someone tell me how to wire a standard radio into this harness

1989 Volvo 740 turbo sedan, I assume it's the type with an external Amp or so I read, the original volvo radio was a TD-6141...

Does crutch-field or similar retailers have a harness for this? or does someone have a write up for bypassing this completely...

Chruchfield has an adapter for any application plus outstanding tech support. I was impressed.

If I recall,there is a big red wire to the power antenna that is run by the amp or antenna out from the radio. If you don't have a power antenna then lucky you.

The rest was easy peasy with a bag of good barrel connectors. Go to a commercial supply and get the see through nylon ones if you want to get fancy. Those auto store PVC jacketed ones are not great. If you don't have one, get a 30 dollar crimper stripper now instead of a 5 dollar one that does not make the crimps correctly. Those are hanging in the electrician section at Lowes.

Metra stuff is sold everywhere so google the part number if you want to find it cheaper online.

Thanks a ton, I didnt realize the Amp unplugged under the dash, I'm ordering the adapter with the wire extension now.

P.S. I just cut mine an added 3 feet of wire.
