Thats the red 242 I had from Wyoming. He's done a TON of work to that thing.

Minor update: New grille badge from Dave Barton came in yesterday, and I put some nice reproduction Volvo stickers on in some places... Also, it's amazing what a little elbow grease can do to faded paint.

Ended up not getting the Rays on the car, because my fancy hubcentric adapters were bored for a C30/whatever instead of a 240... So, new adapters en route.

So it goes.

Stuck a shoshinsha magnet on the back, because I'm a troll, and I won a 3-pack in the giveaway because I knew what they were. No real updates past that, other than chasing a new issue with the high beams, but that'll be sorted soon.

Thinking about exhaust next.

I thought so.

Brief update: Fixed the high beams. Turns out there was a ground that got knocked loose in the steering column, so I reattached it, and no more issues.

Next steps: Get the wheels/tires on, install the cam, fix the overdrive, upgrade the front speakers, replace the speedometer cable.

New adapters get in tonight... Then...

Just a little more #JDM on an ancient Volvo... Nothing to see here.

I think I love these wheels on the GT...

I think it's an improvement... New #gramlights57dr from @raysmsc help.

Rookie magnet. Decidedly non-permanent, and only there because I wanted to troll some #hellamadtightJDMyo Civic folks, and they were $free in a trivia contest.

Brief "parts cannon" update: Just picked up a set of seat skins to redo the seats, front and rear.

Countdown to Davis is on.

V-15? Make it a somewhat performance engine. Nudge, nudge.

If you were nearby on the rust coast I would have already installed it for ya.

Like the new wheels a lot.

It'll be in before Davis, if it kills me.

I'm trying to enjoy it a little before I start taking it apart, again. LOL

F...

Started it up this morning, and it would run on three if I didn't give it any throttle, until it warmed up... I'm betting on something in the ignition, since I haven't touched that, yet. New cap/rotor/plugs/wires should be here by Wednesday, and I'm having them shipped to work so I can change it all over lunch. #partscannon

In other news, I took it out on Saturday and enjoyed some of the finer rural roads in the area, and the grip is addictive. Hella addictive.

I dig the center caps. I wish I'd quit being lazy and make a similar solution for my wheels.

If you've got a 3D printer, I can send you the STL files and you can play with/modify/tweak to your heart's content.

Thats awesome; I didn't realize they're 3d printed. I wish I had access to such a thing, but I don't. Curious if your Ray's wheels would take the same size center cap as my rpf1's. I'd happily send some dollars if that were a possibility.

Did you ever get your tune up done/ignition sorted?

A couple of weeks ago.

IIRC, there's a stock cap that will fit the RPF1... PM Homer and ask what he did for the ones on his 244, but they /look/ stock.

Davis went well and the car really handles now. It's just a bit lacking in power, but I've got a couple of ideas in my head for that.

On the to-do list: Install the T5 that is currently residing in the trunk.

Love the wheels! Nice seeing you at Davis. Heard your "fast drive" passenger was impressed.
