It really wasn't all that fast... At least, not when I was stuck behind a pair of P80s in the corners...

Awesome seeing you at Davis, too. I have some thoughts on what I need to do between now and Davis 2019, so expect some vast improvements between now and then.

You do. Its called Shapeways.com. There are others out there as well. Upload your STL, get a price, pay, it shows up in the mail a week later.

I know what you mean. Every year I see something I like and it take me the next 12 months to do it with my car.

So it goes.

Picking up a roof rack from Ken and benson0021's Mk3 Supra seats over the weekend, so I can fix the lateral support thing and the inability to haul the flathoods I'm hoarding thing.

If the T5 adapter in FS doesn't sell before $payday, I'm getting it. If not, I'm ordering headers from KL Racing and rebuilding the exhaust.

TheBornOtaku got a fantastic shot of the homebrew center caps... You can just barely see a piece of the teflon tape that's helping hold them snugly in place.

T5 in the trunk, Fox body driveshaft soon...

Next step, order things from Ben. Lots of the things.

Muteki SR48. #JDMbruh special, because I didn't want to put shiny lugs on a car that I'm aggressively de-shinying.

I think I need those. I have extended studs. On the car. Lol.

Jealous of your T5.

I like them pretty well. T5 needs to go in, and then...

The car is having a couple of senior moments, so I'm thinking about the direction I want to move in, depending on where the problem is. If ignition/fuel, correct and move on... If compression/leakdown, then I'm thinking about migrating the 398 head and K-Jet onto a 230F bottom end.

Progress.

Looks realy nice with the center-caps and those lugs!

Mk3 Supra seats are officially in and stupidly comfortable.

Tomorrow is when I find out just how bad things really are. Already ordered a gasket set from IPD because I know it's a matter of when, not if the head gasket will go, since we're talking a 38 year old, daily-driven B21 here.

I have a super gently used Yoshi T5 clutch disc that works with stock flat flywheel and PP I’d sell or trade if you’re interested. Shoot me PM and I will get you a picture.

It’s this one, it slipped with the stock setup at 12psi as I recall and I pulled it two days later.

Pulled compression numbers. 120,120,120,105 and there's exhaust in the coolant.

Head gasket time.

I'll throw a PM your way, Uncleknucklez

On the bright side the head gasket set will have some fresh O rings for the injectors.

Quite true.

In other news, I actually took a picture of the new seats in-place. Dare I say it, they almost look like they belong.

Much improved.

No. MKIII's had solid color interiors. Most all were color matched with the dash and carpet. So if you had a burgundy interior, everything would be burgundy. Floors, dash, door cards, center console, etc. Mine was luckily beige.

^ They've pretty obviously been recovered, but look fantastic.

T5 clutch disc from Uncleknucklez should be getting here today, and I'm doing the head gasket and V15 tomorrow. Should make for a fun car...

This will be the last weekend with any real progress for a while, since I'm having some minor surgery next Friday and I've been told not to work on the car, in no uncertain terms, for a couple of months. So, until that point... Rest, recover and order boxes of parts to go in, upon recovery.

Well wishes for a healthy recovery! You'll have a fun car to get back to when you are ready.

Heh. It's just a minor chest upgrade, nothing major...

And, speaking of upgrades, thebornotaku and I did the headgasket, and the cam is in.

I might need to advance the timing a degree or two, because it's currently making power up a bit over 7k, timed straight-up... But, on the other hand, it's incredible fun. I'm not 100% it's a V15 anymore...

I run the enem V15 at 6 degrees advance. The cam will make power well over 7k even though it's rated powerband is 2k to 6k rpms if it is a V15. Maybe it's a V16? The powerband on them is 500rpm higher.

Glad things are doing well.

I advanced it to 2 degrees this morning, gave it a little more fuel because I was hearing a lean backfire on decel, and that did the trick. It feels a lot like an old single-cam Honda now, with solid power from about 2500 through 6500. I'm happy.
