Headlight upgrade suggestions 940

Im looking for suggestions to get the best main beam lights on my 940

I wanted to retrofit a hid kit (yes i know they are not approved) as they made a huge differance on my last car but the lampholder will not allow the lamp to fit.

Has anybody managed to fit these or can suggest any other decent upgrade as I live out in the country where road lights are few and far between.

I'm planning on a retrofit sometime as soon as I can get my parts together. The major downside to this project is that the headlight lenses are made from glass and are fluted which interfere with the beam pattern of the projector. If I can get the flutes ground down successfully, it will be a major upgrade. These headlights I have are very poor and nearly a safety hazard. The e-codes looks great, but unfortunately they also have fluted glass lenses, making a retro no less easy.

have a 944 with e codes and I dont know what you guys are talking about but the light pattern sucks donkey balls. Like the worst headlights ive seen on a car at night.
