I hear that a chipped ecu can do 300whp, but it won't be great. Are you going to put all the engine together before you put the engine in, or do upgrades over time?
I'd suggest getting an aftermarket ECU. The common ones used here are megasquirt, but your choice will rely on budget, if you're going to use a professional tuner (not all tuners will work with MS), the amount of effort you're willing to put in, and how willing you are to learn.
