![]() New member here, though I am in contact via FB with some experten Volvo broskies thanks to the Rally Groups on there.
I am embarking on a Rally build as a complete noob and need a lot of guidance. So I was wondering... should I start a "project thread" and constantly discuss what is happening and ask questions as issues arise? or should I just compile a huge ass list of questions in "performance & modifications"? Or should I make individual threads for separate issues? ...I kind of think consolidating everything in one thread would keep things nice and tidy. ![]() |

![]() Welcome!
A project thread is the way to go. That being said, not everyone will read it since we all have slightly different interests. So post questions as they arise in the performance or maintenance threads if you don't get answers on your build thread. You will have a lot more eyes on the questions. I do a project thread to share what I am doing and ask questions, but it also very helpful to look back at and keep track of certain things. The projects tend to take a lot of time and I forget stuff haha. Best of luck on your car, look forward to seeing it.

![]() Typically noobs start 40 threads. buy every part with stimulus & tax return checks.
start project. leave everything on jackstands for 18 months. Take a few cool instagram pics tell everyone they are Volvo for life, buy a 90s japan car, partout volvo then crush car. start your project thread. If you get stumped and dont get your answer in your own thread. either look in the search history or start a new specific thread with that question in mind.

![]() I basically use my project thread as a log of what I've already done and ask open ended questions in there. If I have a really specific issue I'm struggling with I'll ask in the maintenance or performance section.
Welcome! I look forward to see your car.
