Hello Guest, welcome to the initial stages of our new platform! You can find some additional information about where we are in the process of migrating the board and setting up our new software here
As the title says. This is the drivers door of my car. The hinges worn out, previous owner did not adjust the door, and the door became harder and harder to close. Thats what caused these.
I've seen cracks like that on many 240s. That area tends to flex more for some reason, softer metal (?) Also with the slamming of the door and leaning on the door with your arm over the years stuff happens.
Best I can offer is to make sure all the window regulator and door mechanism stuff is properly lubed and adjusted, especially if you've got power windows.
My 244 & 242 have the same cracks (pix in my build thread). Some stemming from door slamming and some most likely stemming from people closing the doors by the upper door/window frame causing the frame to flex.
