225/50R15 or 235/50R15 on 15x8

The question should say it all. I have a set of matte, new Rays wheels to go on my 242GT and I'm at the "Which tires should I throw a large bucket of money into?" phase... So, do I want 225/50 or 235/50 on those 15x8?

The fenders have already been rolled, and the new wheels are 15x8, ET35 and going on with 25mm adapters.

The real question is can you find any decent tires in those sizes now a days?

235 50 is very uncommon.

225 50 is more available but becoming less so.

235/50 has one option... R888R.

225/50 has slightly more options, but... The best one was the R888R.

for a 15x8, i would opt for a 225 50 15

225/50R15 for sure. More options and less expensive.
