Snailpoweredbrick's 242 16V

The combustion chamber volume is different, and I guess the automotive one flows slightly more air. If you have the marine head currently, a good way to gain compression would be to put the automotive head on.

I have an extra automotive head i pulled from the junk yard a couple months ago in very good shape, i planned on using that. I'll check the casting numbers on the head that i pulled from the car.

This has potentiale..... What gearbox has this? M45/46/47?...from the label on the stick, it looks like 47?

If you notch the head, and weld an "island" for the spark plug (hence extending it further into the cc, needs machining on the cap side, and a 16mm-5/8" socket "typical" 4v plugs) Id have no issues with running over 14:1 i kompression with E85, even with over 120% VE... I run 12.2:1 compression (10:1 dynamic!!) on my 95 RON Pumpgas dd with 100 ish % VE :)

Volvo/Cosworth did a little ****-up by putting the plug in a "ditch"... it shadowes to much of the cc :/

That is hands-down the most factory-looking 16v 240 I think I've ever seen.

Not sure what they did with the mounts, but it looks like there's a bit more room than usual on that booster and intake.

Got a little present in the mail from Nathan yesterday! :D
