#4 PROJECT - 3 INCH CAT BACK EXHAUST:
I used a 3 inch cat, one bullet and a round Dynomax, all straight through design. It's a bit loud for me but oh well, it's not as loud as most ricers I hear. It does sound pretty mean though. I'll add a 3 inch downpipe after I decide on a turbo upgrade.

*That's right...3 inch S tailpipe..I think that goofy thing is part of the 200/700 classic look so it stays, just got a little bigger.

Should this be moved to a project thread?

what is that on your rear right spring?
i am very hesitant to do exhaust work on my 744. although its a tic and would be beneficial, its my DD and I don't want it to be loud at all. I will upgrade to the 3" DP this summer, but I'm not sure what else to do with the exhaust to keep it relatively quiet...

Wait,You just clamped a few coils together to bring them closer and voila-lower?
why not just cut them on the car if you're going the cheap route?

I was going for easy more than cheap. I'm just not into suspension stuff at the moment but I had to do something about the monster truck look. It's sort of a band-aid lowering while I'm doing the stuff I really want to do which is the engine performance stuff.

I feel that. I had my suspension laying in my room for 2-3 months before I was able to put it in.

Oh my gawd.....just took it for a serious spin. With the addition of the 3in cat back, the boost gauge tops out all the way. Does that sound right? And I haven't even touched the boost, it's stock. I did hear one ping and I let off.

I know I know I need to get my real boost gauge mounted.

I can build you a system that is quiet as can be, two mufflers makes it sound really nice

boost spike?
ping doesnt really sound like a good thing to me...I accidently overloosed my MBC when I first got it and spiked and it made a similar sound, and i pegged the gauge

Yeah man get a little Ebay MBC in there for a little more boost. Its so easy to put in and itll give you a grin till you get a bigger turbo. Your car looks very clean by the way. I love the look, keep it up.

And let's see more pics!
Especially of the gauge pod or a link to the one you got?
If this doesn't get moved just start a new project thread about it so we can follow along
