It does smell kinda nice, but why not use a normal air freshener?

Normal air fresheners suck. You can put dryer sheets anywhere, like for instance, a closet. Keeps it smelling fresh for long periods of time

There's no rear swaybar. Looks like one of the previous owners took it off for rallycross and no one put one back on.

I wanted to get it registered yesterday, but the DMV has been closed since Friday for MLK..

Don't bother putting one on.

About the dryer sheets: Pest prevention. Nicer smelling than mothballs and just as effective.

Number 1 on the left. Wrong type of plug for a turbo, replaced with correct NGKs. What do you guys think?

Haha I never even pulled the plugs. They look good, maybe just a bit rich.

Got it registered and drove it today. It's fairly fast and pretty fun, but it has some issues..

-A ticking noise from the engine bay that can be heard inside the car. Doesn't go away with the engine off.
-Wheels scrub when turning into parking spots and such because locker.
-Engine almost dies when I lift off and coast. Sometimes when it's just idling as well.
-It's too low and the stickers make me look stupid.
-The steering wheel is stupid.
-Clunking noise when turning at lowish speeds, dunno if this is the locker or what.
-Engine bucking when turning at low speeds.
-Stupid amounts of shifter slop.

I painted the intercooler piping and cleaned up some wiring. Also swapped the drivers side headlight from the 86 so they match in terms of clarity. Thanks to Centsableone for the headlight bracket.

All the clunking and the engine bucking is definitely the locker, it's a very aggressive design used mainly in 4x4s. It's not a clutch style, it's called a Powertrax Lock Right and it literally uses teeth that lock both axles shafts together when you apply power (look up a good explanation, they're cool). Since it's been lowered and the bushings are likely original, the clunkiness is exacerbated. The engine almost dying is probably a vacuum leak, It did that when I had it, just let off slowly and the engine speed won't dip.

It never had that loud of a ticking noise when I had it.

Thanks. I think the ticking is exhaust related. Pushing the tailpipe with my foot makes it tick faster for a few seconds.

So I'm pretty sure the HVAC is stuck on recirculate. Had to drive with the windows cracked to keep from fogging up and I can't feel a breeze coming through the vents at speed like I can in the '86.

Todays new problem: I was leaving a parking lot when it started pulling to the right pretty hard. Cranked it left, clunked really loudly, and now it only pulls to the right a bit. And it now clunks when cranking the wheel but not as loudly.

The alignment is probably off from the cut springs, is the clunking coming from the diff/rear suspension or the front suspension?

But the alignment was fine before today.. The new clunks are definitely steering.
