How to ruin a perfectly good car .edu

Unfortunately has a bcp head, oh well I'll use it for the time being

So in 23 hours this has happened..... With 7 hours of sleep somewhere in there.
Pulled the motor apart down to a short block, pulled full exhaust and rear end as picketed above. At 8am pulled a junk yard b23f to boooooost

At 1pm when I got home from lunch, I cleaned the motor and swapped the rear end from the 244 into my 78 242 due to the fact the rear diff exploded, and I swapped the entire exhaust from the head all the way out back from the 244 into the 242

Swapped the other rear end in with the welded g80 and 1031 axle with a 3.31 gearset

Then I tore the entire interior out and vacuumed it and removed the dash

And yanked the engine and trans out, now the car is like this

Time for a bunch of beer and some rest

Rear end is all done and car is back on the ground. I was very hungover Sunday so progress was slow, found out the car has a turbo clutch and pp already and has a high spline count m45 :) very excite! Got all the rear bushings done, hogged out and trimmed up the rear poly hushing a so the rear end has free movement and hopefully no squeaking, dropping in the b23 shortblock today after a junkyard adventure

Well its been a slow few months but I have been gathering up some really nice parts for the car. I have a mint 264 dash. Really nice complete black interior. Recaro classic seats, 264 air dam, really nice Virgos with brand new falken tires on them. Got all the front suspension bushings and rod ends, joints and such. New struts and shocks, new intercooler. Also since the car now has a 1031 rear end with a g80 I figured to he'll with it and decided to swap in lh2.4 instead because I like it alot more then 2.2. Also going to swap a t5 eventually. Car will not be slammed or lowered. Also it has ipd 25/25 bars and I found a volvo OE 2 inch receiver hitch and the factory trailer plug new in the bag. Also as much as I dislike em. The commandos are staying!

I moved. Maf, power stage, coil wiring, to the passenger side of the car. I deleted a few extra late model specific wires. Tapped the cis wiring into the fuel injector wiring on a toggle switch for now till I install a proper hobbs. Also deleted all egg wiring as well and did the 3 degree timing advance

So I finished cleaning the inside of the car. Yanked all the climate control crap to install the late model r134 setup. Just about done mounting all the lh2.4 stuff and wrapping the harness. Found a great use for the old style charcoal canister holding bracket! It fits perfect around a 012 maf and air filter lip. Drilled the washer bottle bracket and it fits perfect!!! Very excite. Won't be seeing the lady this weekend so I'll have all Saturday to finish up the interior and throw in the a/c system and finish the interior side of the project just leaving the engine and trans. Thinking of the best way to fool the ecu for the speed sensor and I have a few tricks up my sleeve ;)

Got alot done today. Pulled all the ac stuff and started installing everything. Installed the 91+firewall panel on the passengers side. Installed the newer heater box. Replaced blower motor, and mounted the 951 ecu and 209 gold box. Also replaced all the sound deadening with newer stuff from a 93. Everything is coming together really clean

That's one of the biggest problems here on tbricks. And I have been guilty of it in the past before. People get in such a hurry to do something and get it running with the mindset like oh, I'll clean it up later. Then they get the **** running and get lazy. Do it right the first time.

Engine has been cleaned. Stripped down to a shortblock. All gasket surfaces have been prepped. Oil pain has been modded with a 10an bung.

Finished drilling out some stuff for the receiver drier, mounted the maf. Steam cleaned the **** out of the trans.

Tomorrow I should be able to drill and tap the block for the lh2.4 crank sensor and assemble the short block.

Sealed up the bottom end. Installed a new plastic battery tray, removed the rusty nasty one. Test fitted a evo intercooler and ordered evo8 turbo and a do a up pipe setup
