The videos bring back the human aspect to this hobby, the **** you don't usually see in car videos.

This car is so awesome!
It's probably too late, but Holsets suffer from shaft failures a lot, and with all your anti-lag/rev limiter shenanigans I bet it isn't going to last much longer, if it didn't already break.

7mm shaft and all. Even our Hx52s still have 7mm shaft.

BTW

I think this Underpants thing means nothing more than to look under its hood ;) Its also an accepted expression in germany saying to look under someones or get his pants off if you take a detailed look @ something he made/did/is doing ;)

Great work. I really like the fact that you drive it everywhere, even though the car's an animal.

It would be great to see some more build photos and information on what you've done to it.

Actually the "underpants" comes from the colour of the car. Swedish long johns had this kind of colours as Volvo used back then. Bamses 244 is coloured as "underpants blue" and its a Turbo so the name is Turbo Underpants. Simple.

Hello you all again!

I must thank you all for the positive feedback you have given!
Unfortunately i don't have the time to answer to all your post, but i'll do my best.

So the engine is basically a b230ET, stock crank, with wiseco pistons and eagle rods. Head 531, 46/38 valves. HX40 super and custom intake and exhaust. 50mm synapse wastegate and a 3,5'' exhaust. And believe me, the sidepipe is quite low noised compared to the screamer, coming out next to the front control arm.

Like Johannes700 said, the name comes from the color similar to the old school underpants.
And Bamse comes from my nick name from my old job, since i was the only half Swede there.

To mention about the turbo, its on the way to get fixed. It was anyways ment to get repaired after the trip to Gatebil.

Underpants Blue. Have never heard that saying before.

Very interseting. I just picked up an 'Underpants Blue' '84 244 DL w/ B23 flat top pistons, going to keep it N/A and high compression, should I call it N/A Underpants?

Nicely done vids, everything is real.
Also nice work on the car, love the motor, hope mine comes out that well.
