Default out of hibernation ,

Hello Again,Is been almost 5 months since I touched the brick. I wanted to go today but the weather did not help. I am working on a homemade short shifter for the toyota r 154 transmission, with a tacoma 5 speed shifter which seems to have a longer stud, I am also working on re engineering the torque rods with materials i got from work free. I am almost done with the first one, and total cost is less than 10 bucks but takes a lot of work.
Ok See ya

Default 7mgte first purr!!!

Hey, back again here. I got last week a hell of a deal in a dual exhaust for a Brz and I took a gamble to see if it worked. Man does it!!! .Also the seller was real nice and included the entire exhaust length for the price of one. I was dying to go today since last night to see if it works and it was made for the brick wagon and I just turned it upside down and turned around the end bells. Had to cut the rear plastic cover but I was gonna get rid of it anyway. Part of the piping will also be used cause it has a resonator and it looks cool too.I just have to take it to a muffler shop to get the rear elbows done and have it welded together.
Finally the engine purred after Sep 2016. Men Is been a lot of work but it has taken longer cause winters here don't help much. The gas is old so I need to put some racing fuel to clear it out. Fuel pump was superb and blew out the little toy rubber hose and I hear it POP when it developed pressure. It was easy to take out and replace the hose. Once installed I sprang a leak on the fuel rail dew to a loose banjo bolt for the cold start injector. Began testing the waters in ignition and at the beginning it was "Houston we have a problem". I checked for current in the coils and nothing. I checked a relay and it was not sending power to the coils. Rewired it to the fuse box and , BAM!!!! I got spark. Then I tried the second time and it cranked but no go. So then I checked the injector resistor pack and OOOPPS !! I had forgotten to give 12v to the injectors. Rewired it to the fuse box and tried again. At the beginning it wanted to start but since it is turbo and I have not installed the intercooler yet( still in modification process) the air was not metered properly and after 3 seconds the engine shut down.I disconnected the maf wire and voila!!!! the 6 stringer purred like a lion. I was so static to see the engine run again!!!. Now i gotta finish the dashboard and figure out the master clutch pump that's not working. So I might not be able to do anything next weeks dew to other things that are gonna be taking place in the weekends coming up, but my goal was to hear it purr and it did. HOORAY!!!
ok just wanted to share this Magnus moment with you all!!!
SEE ya DZ

HEy guys, Ive been seen some of the stuff is been done in here and Ive been doing some massive stuff in the brick wagon. Updated and upgraded the coils, sparks plugs( thanks to K IN THE LOCAL PICK AND PULL FOR THE IRIDIUM FREEBIES) and I made a custom cover plate for the spark plug wires and plugs. Also Im swapping the factory brakes for a Subby WRX/ Infinity/Altima/Suzuki combo , so if anyone is interested in 3 calipers, two good rotors and a new set of pads for cheap, let me know !!!
Im still fighting with an oil leak cause I had to weld the pan in a rush to get the car out of the old shop. I got the engine started bout a month ago with the new plugs and it really purred!!!
But now I want to see how the chevy coils work.
Ill try to post some images ( Is been a while so hopefully I can Make it )
Ok see ya !!!

Default Volvo Wagon 7mgte swap update

Hey , here again after a while. Ive been working in the wagon a little more thanks to covid. Engine swap is almost done except for some minor details like a bad solenoid egr valve, an oil leak, finish sealing the chevy control module adapted to the engine with waste spark chevy coils, finish the left door panel and hatch panel cover as well as the license plate lights plus in the second video the dashboard is installed . just need to finish some wiring to clean up the digital gauges
take care be safe and keep on "volving"

Default Covid update

Hey guys ,I AM back, dear Lord what a crazy time. I took a month off and it helped to really make some heavy duty updates and finish the rear suspension with a Volvo 940 locker.
Also the entire front suspension has been done ,that's new shocks, new front polyurethane bushings for the sway bar and new rubber bushings for the front links and outer tie rods.
Clutch is done and the a/c mod is on the works. Also, the Chevy Alt is been upgraded and rebuilt to a 140 amp unit.
Front TV screens have been upgraded for free thanks to the local pick and pull.
Just tested the driveshaft and the rear end up in jack stands and men oh men it rips!!!!.
Also I've upgraded the fuse box to a blade type form .Also I got a rubber boots from a Toyota pickup with just the right angle to cover the mustang shifter. I also just made a cup holder bracket outta scrap parts at work.
Just need to weld the door frame cause is cracked by the lower hinge.
Just did some hids in the screens ,got them for free as well.
Just gotta finished the time consuming details the sing "hit the road,Jack",lol.
Well that's all for now ,stay safe guys

Car looks good (better than I was anticpating from just reading the thread with no pics :( ) in the video!

Can you fix the postimg links for earlier stuff? postimg changed from .org to .cc at some point back, so none of your links work

I would love to see the fabrication pics from along the journey, when you have some time.

Hey thanks for watching the videos !!!!
I really cant tell how many ponies will be pushing. I changed the intercooler to a Mazdaspeed aluminum free flow unit and the wastage is an 8psi Volvo unit adapted to the ct26.
Dont want more than 250 whick is more than enough for me.
Just gota dyno it to see whats up!!!
Take care
