The Frog v3 - 242 LTT

L didnt have the luxury items that a DL had Like no clock, the rear side windows cannot be flipped out in the rear, no fresh air inlets in front of the front doors, the floor carpet is black rubber, rear interior panel below the side windows is some painted cheap material and not like the door panels, engine is B20 instead of B21 and probably some more small details that i have forgot

Edit: The seat covers are different too

So in different word is L a light weight race car!

Havent been feeling good lately so not much progress
No more clutch and didnt have a brake pedal from an auto so made a special


Pute my other Volvo in storage for the winter so i tried the widened 17" steelies from it on the 240(did lower it in Paint though )


Put a bluetooth stereo and some speakers in it so i can play some heavy metal! (the dymo label says "No ****ing hip hop) in Swedish )

(the th375 is only temporary so i can move the car under its own power)

I love your car.

You know the TH375 is not really a bad transmission. The smaller output shaft is still strong enough.

Tell us about the results of the project? What is the power at which the boost pressure at which RPMs?

I'm doing a similar project, but I use the engine LQ9 6 liters. Now I need to make a choice of the turbine. I have a goal about 600-700 HP. I think between Holset HX55pro or two turbines Hx40 Super. But because of the lack of experience with large engines I have my doubts. Perhaps one HX55 will be restrictive for this engine.

No updates for a while but i have been working on it

The oil pan was the lowest point on the car so i built some protection for it and also added a tow hook



My TH375 wasnt shifting from first so i bought a RVMB TH400 with a Hughes GM35 converter. Will be swapping converter when i turn the boost up



A previous owner had tried to install some gauges on the dashboard and totally destroyed it so i made a bracket for a pad that is connected to my engine management





Bought some 80lbs injectors



The new injectors were taller so i had to chop down the stock fuel rail so it wouldnt hit the hood. Found a pretty big restriction in the feed line so i grinded it down



The new transmission was shorter than the old so i made i new transmission mount


And a new drive shaft



Had to cut the carpet when i made the bigger transmission tunnel



Bought some carpet and filled in the blanks. Doesnt look to pretty in the picture but with the seats back in it isnt visible





Took it to the local supermarket for some shopping. Have driven it a couple of hours and it feels like its going to be a nice car!



Think it sounds pretty nice It needs some tuning(and more than half throttle)
