Post 'em. Thinking about doing it, but not sure of what all is involved with the process. Or how hard it is to install. Also, can someone explain the pricing situation for these things on ebay? Should I go to a quality retailer to get HID's or is ebay probablly sufficient?

Get E-codes first. You need good quality optics to put the brighter HIDs in.

If you put HIDs in 9004 units, you'll either blind everyone coming at you (unsafe), or you'll have to aim them so far down that they'll be useless. (unsafe)

The next step is to find a good quality retrofit. That's fairly hard to find on ebay.

I only have access to a couple pics right now. Round hella h4's with 8000k hid's found on ebay.

I really like them, very bright but not annoying to other drivers. The kit i bought was very easy to install and has a reflector built onto the bulb to help keep the beam down.

Let me know if you end up wanting a kit...I can talk to one of my friends who runs a website specializing in HID conversion kits. Potential hook-up on the price if he can right now.

i took mine out for that reason. no kidding people in front of me would pull over all the time, wait for me to pass them, then ride my butt flashing their high beams. all the time... it was funny at first but it got old, fast.

I know some new cars equipped with them (like Audi) have them mounted with self leveling devices to keep the beam down out of the visual field of oncoming traffic. Could that be the reason they aren't a great retrofit here?

Seriously, you'd be better off buying a set of 7" round with bi-level HID projectors built in. It'd cost more, but at least they'd work better.

Also, stay away from the 8k? capsules, they just look stupid & will get you pulled over.
