Is it normal to have the powerband around 4000++ rpm with a V camshaft.? All the timing were in the right position.. (b230ft-15g-aw71-3.73)

Yep. Since you have a 15g,aw71, and a ft. You are better off with a t cam
I thought a 15g and a V cam was reasonable stage I business. Nothing below 4K and not much above it sounds more like badly mismatched components, is it the aw71?

I don't know. On my +T with manual gearbox, usable torque from 1500 up, smooth from 2000 up. Feels good to 5-5500.
Edit: like below, its not something very wild. In the B230E cars where it was stock the reviews always said good torque+midrange.

V cam is pussy ****, and a 15g should be at full boost like 1500rpm before that. I think you did something wrong. That thing should be able to brake boost and light the tires like a camaro driver on the way to **** his sister.

I agree. Theres nothing high reving about that setup.
My 19T, V cam, 531 was dead by 6k... it was full tilt at 2500.

I second the agreement. I ran a V-cam for years with a .63 housing and it made peak torque at 2750...and like Ben, it was dead by mid 6k...
