Default Davis 2011 "who's crashing at my place" thread

Cross-posting this from the Davis poster artwork thread. In case anyone doesn't mind the extra ~20-30 minutes drive north of Davis, I've got room for people to stay at my place. Bring your own blankets, pillows, etc.

Oh and after seeing WM, my back yard is big enough for a bunch of tents, too. So there's even more room.
Figured I should start a thread so I cease cluttering up the Davis hotel thread.

For those of you crashing at my house, or thinking about crashing here...please shoot me a PM and/or post in this thread.

So far I've heard from:
- bigbret
- wagonfetish
- MagnumTE (+ Kyoko?)
- Obeharskad122s
- zvolv
- Brickballer
- Cassie
- BillyMaysHere
-

...I have plenty of room, just trying to plan ahead.

My driveway will fit 4 cars if we squeeze in, plenty of street parking as well, and a small but ample parking lot behind the house, maybe 50ft walk.

I have 2 bathrooms (a small upgrade from WM ).

I have an air compressor, tools, ramps, jacks, etc. No welder or pressure washer though.

I have a 75' garden hose and carwash stuff so y'all can clean up your rides on saturday night, etc.

BBQ is up & functional, full tank 'o propane.

I should have that friday off work, if not I'll be home by 3pm. So cruise out whenever...

Oh, and now for the Debbie-downer stuff;

- PS3, YES! - but I don't have any 'cool' multiplayer games, so if you got GT5, etc. bring it if you wanna play.

- PS2, no. But I have a bunch of PS2 games, including Tourist Trophy and GT3. Just no console.

- I don't have cable/dish, etc. Not even a digital converter and rabbit ears. Sorry. Just bought the house, it hasn't been high on the priority list yet.

- no internet...but(!) I might be able to get us onto my neighbors WiFi access.

- My fridge is only soo big, so if you wanna bring copious amounts of booze, bring a cooler.

- even my GF said she won't be hanging out that weekend, so unless you bring bitches with you, it'll be a sausagefest (like most TB meets aren't anyway).

Do you have one of those bitchin' power brake bleeders?
Can I use your air compresser to inflate my Otto Pilot air mattress?
I suppose I could bring the Wii (only 3 controllers but lots of games).
Do you like gladiator movies, little boy? Or maybe...

A little cross-poasting never hurt...

If anyone coming to Davis Justin's has an extra 240 steering wheel in decent shape, I'm in the market for this kind, horn pad or not:

Sweet. I was hoping to have someone to carpool and share fuel cost with. I get good MPGs if I stay under 65mph. Also, I should have my cd/stereo install finished in the next few days, so we'll have tunes. I was thinking about heading into SF on Monday and having breakfast w/ my Aunt Judi in Richmond dist.

We can also take my V40. It has a speedo, AC, and adjustable speed cruise control which was very nice for the long trip. Got a little under 30mpg too.

Heh, even if I don't have guests we should go to Shogun and grab some sushi, and a few sakebombs. It's not every year that the almighty Towery comes to Davis.

Funny, resa's V50 having cruise control, functional AC, a good stereo...those were all factors for my riding with her to WM2.0 instead of driving one of my own POS cars.

You crashing here too Zach? Or are you doing the hotel shens?

We should probably find out if he likes sushi first. Plus, Lee doesn't work there anymore so we'll have to set up the sake bombs ourselves.

You're welcome to come with me again next year as long as you can handle my crankyness on the way home.

I spoke to Steve yesterday and arranged to get a ride with him in his 142. If its OK I will crash at your place. I havent been following the hotel shens threads or any of the davis threads. I just saw this thread and noticed Steve was going and figured I would tag along and help pay for gas. Trying to pickup that 16v head from VolvoFreak too probably.

I can always find something at a sushi place. Wouldn't be my first choice, though.

Hey Steve, I'm 98% certain I have one in almost flawless condition with horn pad. I'm still not sure when I will be coming up (possibly not until the day of the show) but I'll try to remember to bring it.

I'm in! If you have room in the backyard I'll bring a tent, otherwise I can just crash in the wagon - so long as I'm not driving around after a few beers.

I'll see if I can borrow the ps2 I bought my ex and bring that - she never uses it so I doubt it will be a problem. Hmm we could put a TV on the hood and sit in the car for extra-real feel!

I'll PM you later and exchange contact info after work.
