In my old 240 with the redblock I did 150 in it with cut springs and original shocks and it was okay. It had a belly pan and was lower then what I have now though. But the suspension on the ls car is so good. I will probably do the belly pan this weekend and see how it reacts to it

Engine bay is rusty. Cars getting body work and paint after the cage goes in. Then I'm gonna pull the engine and do the engine bay and clean everything up

The KrudKutter works well for decreasing everything prior to paint too

Alright! So I reinstalled the s366 and drove the car he, took some measurements and figured out everything I need to do so I can perform the swap in a weekend. Ordered a 4-3 inch cnc exhaust adaptor, 3.5 yes 3.5 compressor outlet and a coupler to go from 3.5 to 2.5. then I need to do some more measurements for the new intercooler that's going in. It's getting exciting here and I am really looking forward to the swap. There is a guy that has the same engine/trans, cam, and fuel system combo that made like 800whp with it at higher boost. So I am interested to see what it will do and compare his graphs. The specs on the exhaust and compressor wheel are very similar to the billet 7875, almost identical actually. So it will be very exciting to see if the ball bearing and more efficient housings will help in power delivery!

When I had my turbo apart replaceing the center section I was VERY close to buying the billet 7875 center section for $300 adn dropping it in place. I'm excited to see how your setup does for sure.

The car is getting outfitted currently for leaving the crank on the ground. I'm converting back to a single 450 in the tank, 380lph externally mounted which will draw fuel from the bottom of the factory sump doing proper fittings on the sending unit. Mounting the regulator and all flex fuel associated parts in the trunk and running a single fuel line to keep up with the strict drag strip rules here. Running a single fuel line to the front. Bumping it up too a 8an fuel line and some billet rails. Engines are expensive out here so I want to keep it in one piece. I'm going to be finishing up the transbrake wiring and also work on getting another driveshaft for it after the cage gets finished.

And yes I realize that last post is a double negative. If I have to break it to get into the 9s I will but I want to make sure I have all my bases covered for if and when I have to swap engines

I was driving the car the other day, and it lost a ton of power and started surging on the highway, got it to work luckily and checked the basics on it. Fuel pressure was good, went to 100psi right away with the return line clamped off. Found that the number 5 spark plug was completely fouled out. So I unplugged the injectors and commanded the fuel pump on for about 1 minute and then cranked it with no plugs in it. No fuel shot out so I'm guessing the injector is okay. Pulled the valve cover and for some reason I think the cam was cut a little bit off. I found one of the push rods was too long. Super odd, so I ordered one pushrod for it and it's fine now. I have started on the fuel system for it and I'm hoping it works out the way I planned. Also the rest of the turbo parts are in and I got my Arduino standalone boost controller for it. So that should be interesting to test out. Now to tear it down and get the turbo installed and get the cuttout situated as well as the complete fuel system overhaul. Going to throw on a truck intake as well and see if it will clear the hood so I can squeeze a little more power out of it and iff it clears good I will see if the bread box intake clears as well. I have had some interesting things also happen to it and now I'm thinking I may need to get the converter swapped out in it because the car is making enough power now to push it to like 6500 rpm and it feels flat. Oh well more time and money but hoping by the fall I'll have it all sorted and hit the track

Weird, so your pushrod grew in length? Maybe it got a little to "excited" at the thought of all the power to come. Did you take limp measurements or...?

I think you should make a lexan mailbox hood scoop for this car, like Finnegan's Blasphemi has.

Let me know if you have any other turbo setup questions or concerns; I'm happy to advise wherever possible. I'm looking forward to seeing exactly what this thing can do with the GTX4202R on there. It's funny because in relative terms that's a nice new modern turbo, but the 42 family was the first one we gave the GTX treatment to, and that was over 10 years ago now. C'est la vie!

Haha I can't stand hood scoops. I am going to make a duct of some sort to where I can remove my passenger side high beam and use it as a velocity stack at the track
