Pedal box swap question
Manual pedal box swap for cable clutch into 1990 740. I got the box into the correct position, but the top left bolt doesn't line up. It looks like the bolt for the clutch pedal is rubbing against the piece of metal on the left. Does this piece get removed and attached to to the new pedal box? I'm not exactly sure.

Yes you have to remove the rivets, some models come with a removable slider those are easily interchanged, this will require new rivets

Typical 30-minute job turning into a 3-hour job and extra money! I'll probably try to use something else than rivets because I don't have rivets or a rivet gun. This will probably be ok right?

A bolt + nut + lockwasher would be what I would use
