Hello all! New to repairs, and having some issues with repairing my car. An accident I was in a few months back ruined my old control arm, and it got ripped out from where the bushing sits in the subframe(?). I'm having some trouble trying to get it out so I can replace it, and there isnt very much space behind it to get anything back there to push it out. What's the best way to go about getting it out of there without messing up the car itself any more?

Other than the usual "What year and model?", the next question would be:

Are we talking front suspension?

Or rear?

It seems that he means the front bushing on the control arm where it's in the engine cross member. I had the bolt seize in the bushing from corrosion and used a die grinder to grind the bolt till I had enough clearance to pull it out of the cross member. One side you grind away the bolt head and the other side the nut and end of the bolt. Be careful not to damage the cross member.
