EDIT:

A bit of history behind this car. It wasn't my first Volvo (I owned a 244 DL that I wish I still had), But was the first car that I started to modify. I bought it from my father in the summer of 2005 when I moved to Houston after finishing grad school for $7000. He had put 56,000 miles on it for the ten years he had owned it and I got it completely stock.

Here is a picture of it in its virgin state.

It was fun in the beginning, but I craved to make it different. So I did the usual ECU and exhaust upgrade, boost gauge, and wheels. This is how it looked for a while.

Then I dropped it with some eibach's and Koni FSD's

Added TB's favorite wheel.

Tinted HIDZ, LOL

And then the auto went out, so here we are at present day ....

Mod List as of 7/2/11

And onto the project as it is now ...

Well ... Turbotuner ECU, KWV2 coilovers, Quaife ATB LSD, and the M56h (02' with bronze forks and forged gears) are in. I will keep this as the "build thread." Been driving it the last few days and its a blast. Single mass flywheel and external slave cylinder, bronze shifter bushings and a modified short throw.

Pay no attention to the Pegs, HIDz, Tintz, and R bumper . Everyting but the R bumper will be replaced eventually.

I like. 850 sedans looks so much nicer to me without the trunk spoiler.

Next cosmetic mod guys, I'm on it!

The jewel turns yellow quickly in the Houston humidity, only reason the Xpel is still there.

Hmmm ....

I should go, I need to practice my launches with all my goodies in now.

Will poast time and dyno sheets on my current setup for a baseline when it happens.

Holy **** man, holy ****.
I swear to god, if I had to own a FWD car, it would be this, right here. Grey built up 850 turbo, 5speed.. I love your stance.

3'' custom downpipe, race cat, to a 2.5'' TME catback (old IPD style).

No dyno yet, probably in the 220-230 whp range, it does have a Quaife LSD

When do you move to a bigger/better turbo and NA cams? Should be a requirement for a 5-speed 850

Hey Eric!

I'm probably going to go with a bolt on ish 18T ... maybe a K24 to get comfortable using the Turbotuner software before I step up to anything that needs a larger intercooler/engine build.

I'm getting married in September, so my funds are limited until after then .

Spoiler looks good. I still don't like the mirrors. I like the turns though.
