STS LS mounts

I should check to see if the hood closes on mine with the truck intake on it. I got an LS6 intake just for the room - I'll still be able to run my strut brace.

Wow didn't know my mounts were that early of a batch. I think I bought them back in July-August of 2015. Mine don't have slots in them either lol

They also hold up very well to abuse and still fit perfectly with no struggle on install at all. VERY happy I chose these mounts way back when!

They have I'm guessing north of 400 street pulls during tuning and just general ****ery. Also over 50 passes have been made at the track as well in the last 12 months.

My coffin hood fits both the tbss intake and the truck intake with minor trimming With the sts mounts

Oh crap. this is 240 talk and I got a 740:oops:

I was asking about 7/9 in this thread too and it seems like the general consensus is that the Holley pan and Hooker manifolds work with STS mounts on both chassis. Also seems the truck intake and accessories will fit if the firewall is modified for the engine to sit back far enough.

Thanks for the heads up on the headers and pan listings Cosby. That is a huge plus and frees up some monies for other things to keep the swap more budget friendly in true TB fashion!

Matt has them sitting next to each other on the bench in this vid:

Roughly midway through. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference in height.

Super helpful for me as well. Those low profile intakes are a little pricey and I have three truck intakes laying around combine that with the fact that they flow real well it's a win-win for me.
By the way 9 second Volvo's are what dreams are made of

Combination of bang and cut?
I'm picking up my build 4L80E Sunday and will post some pictures next week for i've banned alot of tunnels before but never for such a massive beast of a transmission.:oogle:
Old man done it before tip;
Nematic palm hammer and/or take a big ass Hilti with a crappy bit and weld on a old hammer tip.
works great for these tunnels.
Of course you could do it correctly and cut the tunnel out and weld.

The tbss intake is about the same height. However, you gotta make sure you have a throttle body that will clear the hood because of the angle

You can used a air hammer with a button head, shouldn't have to cut anything out.

Fit for me with a Ebay bracket even with a flathood
