Default Turbo rebuild kit thrust bearing options

I'm looking at turbo rebuild kits for the Garrett T3T4 on my 745 and was wondering if upgrading to the 360° thrust bearing and step gap piston ring was worth it.

Will I see any performance gains from this such as quicker spool time or is purely a maintenance longevity thing?
