Default A little turbo workout ( cruising my beater in the mountains)

Just a clip of my 79 242 with a beat old b230ft with about 350,000 miles on the engine, another 100,000+ on the car. Stock everything just open intake box and no cat with flowmaster muff. Running about 15psi on the stock lh2.2 and the original M45 four-speed trans. Consuming about 5 quarts of oil every 1,000 miles, perhaps time for a new engine.

I don't have fun roads like this in southeast Virginia so this is a vacation for me just cruising through the mountains, or hills for ya'll out west.

That's some body/engine mileage! Running strong!

720/60 or 1080/30 on the go pro?

Ahh you mean like this

Doesnt sound as good and cannot hear the turbo.

Not set up right to autocross, have thought about though. Stock manual steering rack is like 800 turns lock to lock.

Dang criticizing my engine bay ventilation setup! Yeah when I got the car almost ten years ago it was totaled hit in the front, original flat hood was folded in half. Swapped hoods but apparently never swapped hinges as I have newer ones sitting in my bedroom. Every time I open and close the hood the gap gets bigger and bigger. It really pisses one of my friends off so I refuse to repair.

She's a beater. The only time I repair or replace something is when it is completely broken and unusable. If I start doing preventive maintenance random crap starts to fail. For example the other week I swapped my diff for a lower gear to get better gas mileage and then my wastegate hose breaks. Of course I didn't realize my wastegate wasn't hooked up until it sounded like an air chisel was wailing on my engine.

It's 1080/30 on the GoPro Hero 2. I need to get an external mic, not happy with the built in one.

Yeah the beater has some miles. I got the car almost ten years ago with 280,000 miles but the odometer worked intermittently. Drove for five years with B21F then swapped in the 89 B230FT that already had 200,000 from the junkyard. I do lots of driving, it's my drug of choice. It's only a guesstimate though as I have never really had a speedometer or odometer but add up fuel spent in a year and figure mileage from that. So, could be way higher than what I think, probably not much lower.
