Bump for a question about O-rings on the solenoid.
Would an undersized(smaller in thickness, it doesn't fill the entire seal channel) inner o-ring prevent it from being able to lock out of OD? This question is about my car. I got a working solenoid to replace the grooved solenoid. I somehow misplaced the inner o-ring, but found another that is almost like it. It kicks into OD but when I hit the button(light comes on on the dash), it doesn't kick out of it?
Yes.
I think you've found a new, unique way to break the OD.
