960 steering wheel & airbag work in a 91 740?

I have a nice leather wheel from a 960 I had many years ago - I'm wondering if the airbag is compatible with the system in my 91 740

Any swapped this? Searched & got no hits. Don't see why it wouldn't, however I'd hate to set one off / trigger an SRS code because the values don't match....

The steering wheel does not fit. The tilt column cars have a larger diameter steering shaft.

Ah - right - so it's more likely to fit an 850. Many thanks.
