240 90 245 not starting after dash cap replacement

Hello! A buddy and I just replaced the dashboard cap on my 1990 245. It looks great BUT when I went to fire the car back up, it turned over strong but would not start. Any thoughts here...?

I had the cluster out and I have made the mistake of not plugging something in right in the past so if anyone has a picture or diagram that could be helpful.

Starter switch is the first thing that comes to mind. There is a wiring harness connector plugged into the back of the mechanical switch.

Beyond that fuses.

I checked the fuses. No love there..so it’s a connector right behind where the key goes?

You probably missed one of the grounds that attach to the center stack dash structure.

I missed that I blew the 20 amp fuse that connects to the battery... rookie mistake.
