Power seats not working!?!?

My friend has a 1990 Volvo 760 intercooled turbo car {very fancy} and the power seats recently stopped working, the fuse is good and is getting power, there is power at the thick red wire on the drivers side seat control, the "stop" button is not stuck and has continuity when not pressed and no continuity when pressed. I haven't been able to find a schematic of the control and don't know what to look for next.

Do any of you know what's up with it? Any suggestions? Thank you!!!

A motor has two wires. Apply power and ground to each on and see what happens.

Mine was the switch, tho it seem not until I repeatedly pressed it until it freed up and started working. I love fixes like that!

You didn't mention if the motor ran when the button was pressed, which would indicate a cable problem from it to the gearbox(s)(not sure if there's one or two.
