My neighbor, who used to paint show motorcycles for a living, said there used to be a degreaser/wax remover you could just pour over the paint and it would strip all that stuff clean without damaging the paint at all. I can't seem to find anything that is that easy... a lot of conflicting info. What do you guys use?
This past summer I cleaned the door and hood hinges on my white 960, and they were just as bad if not worse than this. I used purple power degreaser and an old tooth brush. It took a little while, but it cleaned them all off without removing any paint that I notice. I did lightly hose them off after while avoiding spraying down my interior. I was impressed with the results.
