Bob George's '82 242 Turbo PROJECT

Any updates I just read this whole build. Amazing Clean work! Gives me hope that I still might build my block sitting in the garage.

Making amazing progress!

...on renovating our house

I do have some recent progress to report - interior all back in, a bunch of wiring cleanup and a few other small things. I need another big push this fall, working on getting some time off from work to do that before it gets too cold.

Been a long time since I posted. I still have the car and have been making a lot of progress in the last 2 months. Far more than the previous 5 years :)

Kind of been using quarantine as a reset from the day-to-day chaos, work travel and other distractions.

I've been working most nights after everyone goes to sleep, 30-60 min at a time with a couple longer runs. It's amazing how much progress you can make "chipping away".

I think I'm about a week or so from starting the new engine on the Megasquirt Pro. Here are the most recent drivetrain specs:

- '95 B230FT .060 over, Mahle pistons, RSI h-beams
- 531 head, RSI stage 2 cam, bigger exhaust valves
- GT3071r on a Captain Bondo header, Tial external gate
- 3" exhaust, single Burns stainless muffler, side exit
- Nathan intake with RC 1000s
- Evo 8 intercooler
- DW300 and Bosch 044, -6AN lines, Aeromotive FPR
- MS Pro
- LS2 coils and DSM CAS
- LM-1 wideband
- MAC valve EBC
- Ford T5, kevlar disc, dual sprung pressure plate
- Gripper LSD

And of course some recent pics (sorry for large size, "56K no way"):

Wow! That is some impressive workmanship Bob. I'm a total believer if quality the FIRST time.... that's what will make these cars run hours/days/months between system failures (MTTF) rather than minutes as many TB projects likely do.

I'll follow your progress. Are all your pics of the car available for public view?
