I remember this thing! Very cool setup and one that someone should enjoy!

It sounds like Phil has retired from building engines in general, too, with Cameron taking over here in Portland.
 
The period-correctness of this is cool, but I'd be hard pressed to spend that kind of money and cut a huge hole in my fender for less than 200hp.

Impressive that they got so much power out of a carbed B20 though!
 
That engine sold several years ago, and the 1800 - with an engine closer to stock - sold soon after.

Worth noting that Phil's engines were refined and improved after the MPPE was developed.
