Any updates I just read this whole build. Amazing Clean work! Gives me hope that I still might build my block sitting in the garage.

Making amazing progress!

...on renovating our house

I do have some recent progress to report - interior all back in, a bunch of wiring cleanup and a few other small things. I need another big push this fall, working on getting some time off from work to do that before it gets too cold.

This is very overdue for an update.

House remodel done? Back to working on the car?

Been a long time since I posted. I still have the car and have been making a lot of progress in the last 2 months. Far more than the previous 5 years

Kind of been using quarantine as a reset from the day-to-day chaos, work travel and other distractions.

I've been working most nights after everyone goes to sleep, 30-60 min at a time with a couple longer runs. It's amazing how much progress you can make "chipping away".

I think I'm about a week or so from starting the new engine on the Megasquirt Pro. Here are the most recent drivetrain specs:

- '95 B230FT .060 over, Mahle pistons, RSI h-beams
- 531 head, RSI stage 2 cam, bigger exhaust valves
- GT3071r on a Captain Bondo header, Tial external gate
- 3" exhaust, single Burns stainless muffler, side exit
- Nathan intake with RC 1000s
- Evo 8 intercooler
- DW300 and Bosch 044, -6AN lines, Aeromotive FPR
- MS Pro
- LS2 coils and DSM CAS
- LM-1 wideband
- MAC valve EBC
- Ford T5, kevlar disc, dual sprung pressure plate
- Gripper LSD

And of course some recent pics (sorry for large size, "56K no way"):

Wow! That is some impressive workmanship Bob. I'm a total believer if quality the FIRST time.... that's what will make these cars run hours/days/months between system failures (MTTF) rather than minutes as many TB projects likely do.

I'll follow your progress. Are all your pics of the car available for public view?

It runs! Pretty rich and idles high, but it runs again for the first time in 8 years

I also redid the ECU and relay wiring to address some voltage issues:

Congrats! I had an 8 year period with my road race 244ti where it did not run and it felt great to get it going, and it wasnt nearly as cool as this.

Hope to do the same with my 1800ES soon [10+ years]

It's awesome to see this project back on track. This car was a definite inspiration when I was embarking on my 245 and 242 projects back in the day.

Thanks guys, appreciate it. I never gave up on the car, but when I had 3 kids in 4 years and a couple different jobs/houses things got a little crazy
