Send a PM to Jonathan, board member SwedishIron.com, he seems to have one or ten of everything.

Did some fuel tuning on the car this weekend with favorable results. Air/fuel ratios in boost are in the 11.8-12.5 range according to the LM-1. Idle and cruising are in the 14-15 range. Always starts right away and idles nicely.

Still only running off the 0.5 bar wastegate spring, but the car feels much quicker than it ever did with the stock B21FT. It sounds absolutely nasty when the wastegate opens. I hope to drive it for a couple more weeks this year and then it will go away until the spring.

Even though I've been really busy lately, it's been a productive 2009 all around. I'm looking forward to breaking things next year

First is getting it back together, i.e. putting a dash and interior in. Then the short list into next year is:

Electric fan
Walbro 255 and relocating the fuel filter
Ford T5 and Truetrac LSD
Black coupe seats (looking for E36 M3)
Big valve 531/IPD Turbo (or better) cam
RX-7 oil cooler

I have the head, cam, oil cooler, fuel pump, fan and most of the T5 parts. Need the LSD and seats.

Right now it has Koni yellows all around with B&G lowering springs and IPD 25/25 mm bars. I need to lower the front a bit more by removing a coil or so. Eventually, as the budget allows, fully adjustable coilovers would be nice. However, it's not and will never be a race car, so the current suspension is pretty decent for the street.

Captain Bondo built the header.

The car is hilarious at 15 psi. Video this week I hope. It's been awhile since I've laughed that hard driving a car, and a long time since driving one of my own cars. The stock clutch goes up in smoke in 3rd and 4th gear if you floor it. Good motivation to put the T5 in this winter.

still running stock clutch in the m46? pretty amazing it didn't slip at 3 psi lol. Mine would slip at 14 psi on stock t3.

car looks great btw!

Car is in for the season because 1) it's November 1st and snow is right around the corner, 2) the clutch is slipping pretty badly and I won't get to that this year and 3) the car won't currently start

I think it's ignition related. I was in boost in 3rd gear on the way home and it just cut out and stalled. My EDIS trigger wheel is scored, so it was obviously making contact with the sensor.

Anyway, I leave 2009 with these videos:

Compressor surge? Or is that how the external gates sound?

Your blow off valve isn't working.

That's definitely how external gates sound alright, well the whoooossssshhhh part in boost. The whududududududd is compressor surge.

Looks and sounds fantastic though!

Yeah I need to investigate the BOV, maybe it just needs a different spring. These videos are at 13 psi, btw.

Even with a stiffer spring it should open up at full vacuum, especially with some good boost in the pipes. But yeah, maybe the spring is too hard for your setup, cause it doesn't sound like it opens at all, they're nice and loud. Actually it'll sounds sorta like your dump tube, but better, can't miss it.

No updates on the Volvo in a few months, but I did tint the windows on the Honda today

Looking forward to getting back into the garage when it warms up a bit. Lots planned for 2010.
