I've had this car nearly 10 years and have put about 110,000 miles on it. I've never touched the fuel filter until today. It rusted through. 1992....240,600 miles...don't know if/when it was ever replaced previously.
Luckily I had all the parts ready to go. Didn't end up needing the transfer pipe, the old one didn't break, although it took a lot of back and forth with the impact gun to free the banjo bolt from the inlet. Always be prepared. If you have an old 240 with a crusty old pump & filter, you should have this stuff on the shelf.
