What was the stock supplied needles for 72 144s cars with the b20b engine. I'm looking at ordering a rebuild kit. Are there other needles that were used? How would you go about selecting the right needle?

Get the SU Carburettor Manual from....SU. Whatever you pay will be less than your parts, and you will understand how they work. The Bentley and Haynes are not that good. I have a partial copy, try to get a complete one if you can, else pm me.

BBB's seem to have been common on vacuum retard equipped motors. KD's are probably a good match (slightly rich) if your intake DOESN'T have secondary throttle plates. If it does have the 2 throttle plates. BBB or RK's

My old Haynes SU book has an application chart in the back that shows which needles were used in what carbs. It also has a list of needles with dimensions.
